Its a microwave. Does what it is supposed to do. It is quieter than the microwave it replaces. Open/close door hardware is the usual cheap feeling operation. Hope it lasts as long as the old microwave.

My unit has a one button 10 second and a one button 30 second cooking time. One rotation of the turntable is about 13 seconds. I suggest the turntable drive be changed to complete one revolution in 10 seconds. The 13 second revolution is not an issue when cooking a circular item that does not have handles. When the item has a handle(s), such as a mug of coffee or chocolate it is more convenient if the one button selection ends with the handle(s) back at the starting position. The best change in addition to the one button change would be to have the electronics calculate the revolutions required to complete the cooking time input and adjust the turntable revolutions to always end the cooking time at the same place as it started, that is the handles end at the same place they started even if the time entered was a number of full minutes.

I love almost everything about this microwave except that the door button sticks or doesn't open at all. I've got a call into a local repair place since it is 7 months old and still under warranty. The Fridgidaire customer service number listed in the manual is wrong by one digit, but even after calling the correct number it takes you through a long series of prompts before finally stating there is high call volume and to try your call again. Click. I had to find my own repair place.

Only things that are unique to this unit are that it's larger than most others, and that it can be built in. However the mounting/trim kit to make it a built in is an additional cost to the already high price.Was purchased to match up with a Gallery oven, but trim is wider and display is totally different, as are the controls.Works fine, but no better than others at half the price.

I've had it in about a week. My husband installed it. No problems. It heats up quickly. I like the look. However I question myself because I wanted a built-in in my island and we thought a cabinet would be less expensive. So when remodeling the kitchen that's what we decided on. I wish I would have done the research and priced them. I could have had the built in microwave in my island for a few hundred dollars more. I think the price of the trim kit on top of the microwave is ridiculous. Yes it looks nice and completes it buts basically a piece of plastic for almost $300. Overall it looks nice and it is a big microwave.
